In the summer of 2024, Reid Appleson embarked on a study exploring the life cycle of domain names and active websites. By diving into massive datasets from various sources. The use AI agents was essential to answer three (3) fundamental questions covering the period from 2019 to 2024. The approximate figures are as follows:
1- Change in active websites: +3,000,000
2- Change in registered domain names: +25,000,000
3- Registered domain names "required" for 1 active website: 8.5
Every day, approximately 13,698 new domain names are registered globally. However, only 12% of these registrations will turn into active websites.
So, what happens to the 11,643 new domain names registered globally everyday that will not become active websites?
Reid Appleson's analysis of these results, is as a reflection about the missing "Reading" towards the 21st century's "World Wide Weconomics" where genuine entrepreneurship generates more than ever seen in history.
The "potential effect" over one year could result in 11,643 created new businesses per day, each generating an additional $1 daily, leading to an average annual revenue of $33,346. Multiply that revenue by 11,643 businesses, and it equates to $389,3 million.
Now, imagine the impact of more active people, each generating even higher daily revenue streams, over a five-year period.
This is the rubber of the 21st century's "World Wide Weconomics" hitting the wildest dreams!
